Screen Test: The Maiden

August 14th, 2009

I've spent the last week or so fiddling around in game in the neighborhood of Riverview, which has become my test neighborhood. I've set up two houses: one with Ransom Clavell, Emily Shadowtalon and Edmond le Strange, and the other with Julian Nomad and Viktor Quinn. I'm trying to complete their final looks before putting them in my main game (well, except for Ransom…he's hanging around because it's where I took his pictures for the previous post and I haven't had the heart to move him out [I enjoy looking at him too much…haha]).

I'm pretty sure I'm done working on Emily. She's gone through several little facial reconstruction sessions (thanks to "editsim") before I was completely happy with her look. Granted, she doesn't look massively different from when I first created her in CAS, but it's amazing how much small tweaks can refine the overall look. Here's a peek at Emily 1.0, if you want to see how she started out. I'd say the current version is Emily 3.0.

Anyway, doesn't she look a little like Liv Tyler here? Or is it just me? I think it must be the hair.

Here is my version of Ransom Clavell that I've been promising to make available for download (see link on page 2). I've refined him a bit more since I first introduced him to you. Yeah, something had to be done—a guy with a badass mohawk needs to look cooler.

A few weeks later, on an early Saturday morning…

Having finished her homework on Friday night as she usually did, Inara now had the whole weekend before her full of endless possibilities. One of her favorite weekend activities to do was wake up early, before anyone else, and make her own breakfast on her little stove.

The morning after…

Ransom: "Guess who came home late last night looking like something the cat dragged in."

Katriss: *hopefully* "Ooo, don't tell me. Ethyn?"

Ransom: "Exactly. But I don't think you'll like the why of it."

Katriss: "What do you mean?"

Ransom: "Well, I only got an abbreviated version of what happened, but your good ol' victim Marty told Ethyn to take a hike. Apparently, the big guy decided to mend fences with his wife. It looks like your plan didn't quite end up as you wanted."

Katriss: *choke*

Sims 3 Tales: Interlude

July 28th, 2009

Thornton Wolff watched his wife stride angrily across the kitchen floor, her heels clicking in a sharp staccato. She rummaged around in the cabinets then slammed a coffee mug down onto cupboard so hard that he was surprised it didn't shatter. He sighed and shook his head in defeat.

Thornton: "Fine, Ana, I give up. I'm tired of fighting with you. If that's what you really want and it will make you happy, then… Yes, let's have a baby."
