Sims 3 Tales: Wishes, Part 04

August 1st, 2009

One afternoon, Katriss cornered Gwendolyn in the bathroom and demanded to know what her intentions were concerning Ethyn. Although she didn't care what type of relationship they had, she knew Ransom really wanted Ethyn to be happy. And, in the end, a happy Ransom made a very happy Katriss.

Gwendolyn wasn't ready to talk about her relationship with Ethyn to anyone for fear that she might jinx it. However, she handily turned to conversation back toward Katriss by telling her what a brilliant daughter she had. Katriss had to give Gwen credit for knowing how to get on on her good side—what little of it she had.

Gwen needn't have worried about her relationship with Ethyn. It was going so well, in fact, that her job was suffering. Ethyn distracted her endlessly when she was supposed to be cleaning the house. Katriss wondered if she was going to have to fire her.

Ransom continued to work on his creativity in preparation for his job as a forensics analyst…

…while Katriss took on the new challenge of working her way through the ranks of chess players. Her first match was against Holly Alto. The match wasn't much of a challenge for Katriss though.

Holly was a good sport, however, unlike Katriss would have been if she lost. Katriss even felt comfortable enough around the woman to talk to her about an evil scheme she was considering. Holly just thought she was being a smartass and didn't pay much attention to Kat's diabolical mutterings.

Inara and Tobin Keaton became best friends. Inara even made the honor roll.

Even though she helped him with his homework as often as she could, Tobin only managed to squeak by with a C average.

Xander continued to try to mooch off of Katriss. In turn, she continued to refuse to give him any handouts.

Tobin didn't like visiting Inara's house when her mom was there. Whenever Katriss was in the same room as him, he'd run away screaming.

Katriss just thought he was insane.

Ransom and Katriss' wedding was getting ever closer. They were still trying to decide whether they would elope or have a ceremony with their friends. Until then, they discovered chess made for surprisingly good foreplay (at least the way they played it).

    I'm really happy for Ethyn, poor guy got dicked around so much I feel for him and Gwen being a total babe now is a major plus, I'm liking her sprite! I'm also amazed at the ex-study bedroom's lighting & arrangement, its very realistic looking. What I wouldn't give to have my bedroom look like that.. xD :XO:

    Aww, how adorable! 😀 I loved this chapter a lot, and I agree with HydraKitten. Yes, that means I love the decorations and such as well.

    Guess what!? I finally got my computer and I thought I was going to DIE the sims was so amazing on it. I was like "Wait!? So that shirt actually has texture!?" in CAS. Ha ha. I was in awe. Still am.

    But I don't have a lot of time to be on the computer for a while. Not until August 4th or so.

    HydraKitten: I was really surprised at how pretty Gwen turned out. I did some major tweaking of her sliders (that just sounds all kinds of weird). I'm impressed with the in-game lighting too. I use the Radiance Lighting mod in Sims 2 to get a similar effect, but it's so great that the Sims 3 has it built into the base game.

    Ju: Thank you! And, yay!, I'm glad you're computer finally arrived. Congrats! Yes, it's amazing what a difference a good graphics card can make. Have fun playing and exploring the game!

    Even though she is a ghost, Inara looks so cute! She has a great personality. I am happy for Ethyn too! Gwen turned out quite well indeed. You are making me want to buy this game, especially now that I see what CC is out there *must resist urge to buy*

    I know I miss your other stories but I do hope you continue this one as well. The shots are amazing (no surprise there) the colors, the landscape.

    Gayl: Inara cracks me up. I only wish you could see her little outfit better—it's so cute!

    Allow me to play devil's advocate and urge you to buy the game. It's fun to explore and try your hand at something new. And more CC is coming out everyday. I've already had to start being very selective in what I download. I'll also be releasing my version of Ransom in a few days, so he could be your first Sim. 😉

    Well, I will most likely be downloading Ransom, as soon as I am comfortable downloading custom content. I am pretty sure my computer can handle it, but I don't want to mess with anything just yet. It runs SO well, and I don't want to screw that up until I have gotten quite a bit of things figured out and accomplished.

    That, and until I finally determine WHERE I am going to keep my desktop at. Ha ha! ;D I haven't installed my graphics programs, my tablet, or anything yet. The only thing I've done extra is install The Sims 3. No lie. lol
