I just wanted to let you guys know that I have set-up a blog over on Livejournal. I've really been wanting to just chat about random things lately, but didn't want to clog up this site with off-topic drivel. So, if you'd like, please stop by and say "hi".

In Sims news, I've been organizing my Sims downloads (deleting some old stuff, downloading new stuff, backing up folders, etc.) in preparation to start taking pictures for the next chapter. I'm a little ashamed to admit that the pictures I took for Gayl's birthday was the first time I'd loaded Sims 2 since last spring (about a year ago!). I need to refresh myself on how to do everything.

I also have to say, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of pose boxes that are available now. I never thought I'd complain about having too many poses to choose from, but I am. haha I now feel like the perfect pose for each picture is out there somewhere if you have the patience to hunt through hundreds of pose boxes. I am aware of the Sims 2 Pose Box Catalog, and that makes hunting for the right pose a little easier, but still…me = overwhelmed. I'm going to have to get a firm grip on my perfectionism and not spend too much time setting up poses for each picture, or I'm likely to drive myself mad.

I wanted to take the time to touch base with you all since I've seen a lot of concern expressed in the previous post's comments as to whether I'd be continuing this site or not. The short answer is "yes".

Now for the longer answer.

I was gearing up to continue my Sims 2 story in January (as part of my New Year's resolution) but then I got sick. Not deathly ill or anything, but I was sick for the entirety of January. It really sapped my energy—both physical and creative. It's just been over these past few weeks that I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. I'm still not running at 100% though (even though I'm feeling a lot better) and I'm playing catch up on a lot of things I had to put on hold in January. I'm not sure when I'll have to time or the inspiration to continue the story, but I really hope it's not too long. (Oh, Muse, please return to me!)

Anyway, I'm not looking for sympathy here, I just wanted to let you know where things stand and to thank you for sticking by me so far.

Seriously, what is it that makes some people so hateful? I know this "secret" wasn't aimed solely at me, but still… What gives them the right to think they have the right to tell me what Sims I should or shouldn't be making? They are my characters. I can do whatever I damn well want with them.

And really…"no offence [sic], but…". The only time that phrase is used is when someone knows they are being offensive.

Also, "the secret is not aimed at the creator who did this character…". Ri-ight… They why was a picture of my character used to illustrate your point?

Grrrr… I really, really hate people sometimes.

This really pissed me off. Normally, I'd try to ignore something like this, but I guess it just came about at an emotionally fragile time. I think I'll just keep this site for Sims 2 stuff from now on and enjoy my Sims 3 characters on my own.

Just to let you know, I'm starting to receive warnings from my ISP that I'm at 80% of my bandwidth limit. It may run out before the end of the month.

I must figure out another place to host my images. I'm sure that's why I'm running out of bandwidth. I don't want to use photobucket as they compress my images too much. I'm not sure what to do. Blah.

So, if the website goes down before then, that's the reason why. No need to panic! haha I'll see you next month!
