Open Letter

Hey, everyone!

I wanted to take the time to touch base with you all since I've seen a lot of concern expressed in the previous post's comments as to whether I'd be continuing this site or not. The short answer is "yes".

Now for the longer answer.

I was gearing up to continue my Sims 2 story in January (as part of my New Year's resolution) but then I got sick. Not deathly ill or anything, but I was sick for the entirety of January. It really sapped my energy—both physical and creative. It's just been over these past few weeks that I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. I'm still not running at 100% though (even though I'm feeling a lot better) and I'm playing catch up on a lot of things I had to put on hold in January. I'm not sure when I'll have to time or the inspiration to continue the story, but I really hope it's not too long. (Oh, Muse, please return to me!)

Anyway, I'm not looking for sympathy here, I just wanted to let you know where things stand and to thank you for sticking by me so far.

    Yeah, it seems like everybody is getting sick nowadays ❓ . Ugh, stupid contageous virus 😡 … Well, it's nice to know that you're alive all the same 🙂 !
    And knowing that you're coming back is freaking awesome too 😀 .
    I'm pretty sure everyone is going to leave you a chain of happy messages too, so I'll just let them say how happy we are instead of ramble on how much I missed the updates on here 😥 .

    You may not be looking for sympathy but you have it anyway. When your body won't cooperate, everything stops. Not much creativity coming out of a broken machine.

    My best wishes for you, for your health, for your inspiration. You have certainly given so much to so many for so long. You were one of the first and remain one of the towering sources of inspiration for me. I hope you can continue to write. Do what you want to do though, when you want to do it.

    You were sick for a month?! That sounds scary, but its good to hear you are feeling better 😀
    I think its awesome that you don't plan to let your story die…so many are leaving the sims community 🙁

    I don't think that anybody wouldn't give you sympathy, because it is clearly understandable that you need rest to recover.
    I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better, but take your time, the people that stuck with you and waited for updates can surely handle more time without The Monster and the Maiden. (Although I personally miss it, a lot! 🙂 )

    So, get well soon, and don't let the creative block bring you down. It's going to vanish, I'm sure!

    that's a relief– both that you're getting better and you will be writing again. For the record, chicken soup is overrated, imho. Try eating pine nuts. They're loaded with iron and magnesium and that will help you feel naturally energized especially when you're sick. Wishing you the best, as always1

    Je viens très souvent sur votre site en espèrant la suite des sims 2 …
    Vous faites un travail extra , et j'espères que ce petit mots parmis tant d'autres vous donnera du courage. Pour moi, votre site est le meilleur que je connaise dans le genre. Bises.

    Kara: I'm glad your back in action. I too suffered from the colds and viruses of the terrible January, plus over a foot of snow and loss of interent. 🙁

    Thank you, girls! I'm actually working on a little surprise—I got inspired last week. It's even sort of Sims 2 related…well, at least Monster and the Maiden related anyway. I hope you're not scared of my dolls. 😉

    @oolongteadrinker: Unfortunately, I was sick with some intestinal bug so I couldn't eat much of anything…except for bananas (not even my favorite fruit…haha). But, I'll keep the pine nuts in mind. Thank you!

    @Stephanie: Do you mean "editsim"? That's for the Sims 3, right? I'm afraid I haven't played it in awhile so I can't remember for sure, but when I did I had Awesomemod and I think I opened it that way.

    @MDP: I'm glad you're feeling better too! Being sick is not fun at all.

    Glad to know you are still around and still feeling like writting sims stories!
