Sims 3 Tales: Wishes, Part 03

Ransom: "Ethyn. Hey, man."
Ransom: "I feel kinda lame for saying this, but you're going to be okay. Just try not to get involved with a married person next time, yeah?"
Ethyn: "Like there will ever be a next time."
Katriss: "Oh, quit feeling sorry for yourself. Of course there will be a next time. You are a hot guy. Even I liked at one time, after all."
Ransom: *shoots warning look at his fiancée* "Kat…" *looks back at Ethyn* "But, yes, she's right, although I wouldn't have put it quite that way. Just remember, there's no hurry. You'll find the right person for you eventually. I mean, look at me, I had to die to find my true love."
Ethyn: "Well, I hope I don't have to die…"
Ransom: *shrug* "I'm kind of an extreme example."
Ethyn: "I guess."
Ransom: "Okay, listen. I think I can help you at least a little. You know how things have been a little awkward around here what with Katriss and I getting married and you kind of being the third wheel?"
Ethyn: "Oh, I see. You want me to move out."
Katriss: "Ye—"
Ransom: "No! I was just thinking you're like the brother I always wished I'd had and I really want you to feel more comfortable here. It is your home too. And I think it's way past time that we get you out of that study. You know, set you up in a permanent bedroom. Right, Katriss?"
Katriss: "Oh! Uh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That sounds peachy."
Ethyn: "Well, if you're sure. I'd really like that."
Ransom: "Great, it's all set then."
And so, the next few days were dedicated to fixing up a bedroom for Ethyn. In fact, he moved into Katriss and Ransom's room while they moved into the vacated study. They had plans to make it into their master bedroom sometime down the road.
Ethyn loved his new room but, though he finally felt like he was a valued member of the household thanks to Ransom, he found that he had to keep himself constantly busy so that he wouldn't start thinking about Marty.
Of course, Katriss and Ransom's frequent displays of affection did nothing to alleviate his heartbreak. By the time they were making out on the couch while he was trying to watch the news, Ethyn had had enough. He had to get out of the house or go crazy.
He called up his friend Thornton, who just happened to be in the neighborhood.
Thorn suggested they hit the Bistro—a favorite hangout for drinking. That sounded great to Ethyn. Not only would he get out of the house for awhile, but he'd be able to drown his sorrows as well.
Thornton: *hands Ethyn a book* "Here. Ana wanted me to give you this. It's got something to with surviving a break-up and becoming a better person. I don't know. Read it or not. She's just worried about you."
Ethyn: "Uh, thanks. I'll take a look at it."
Thornton: "So…are we steering clear of any particular topics tonight?"

Ooooohhh, so what's gonna happen with Christopher Steel? -wink wink nudge nudge- Ohh, and I loved the ending. I love how tough Katriss was (of course) and how macho angry Xander was, then how Inara just said "Bye, Xander." Ha ha, I pictured her saying it in an innocent and almost sing-song voice. Then I picture Xander's response to be gruff and slightly ignorant.

Yeah, you should totally do more with Chris. ;o) He's really adorable, but in that youthful and energetic and innocent kind of way. The perfect shoulder to cry on, and the one that you are falling in love with but don't realize it until it's too late. Ha ha!

LOL! Xander is hilarious and I adore Ransom. He's like the calm voice of reasoning in the house, provided he's not preoccupied with video games.
Poor Ethyn! He needs to get out of his slump. Loved the bit with Thorton awkwardly handing him the book… ROFL.

Have I ever mentioned how good you are at this… this whole creating and writing thing you've been doing? Because you have SKILLZZZZZUH! And once again, this is a fantasmull update.
Seriously, I envy you and your talent! Not enough to even make me think of not reading every single thing on here though… 😛
