Busy, Busy, Busy

November 21st, 2004

Eep! I'm sorry, guys! I got a few emails wondering why I haven't updated. Well, I just haven't had as much freetime to play the game recently. And when I do have freetime I'm either playing Everquest 2 with my husband or playing with my Legacy Challenge family (I'll try to post something about them this week).

I hate to say it, but it's been fun playing the Sims without having to worry about a particular storyline. I guess I just needed a break from writing about my Sims…it was starting to feel more like a duty rather than being fun. In the future, maybe I'll have to make the stories less involved…and much shorter. I'm not sure yet; I'm just thinking outloud.

Why Food Poisoning Sucks

November 11th, 2004

Just the day before, Kim had been over at her friend Beau Broke's house. His mom Brandi wasn't the best housekeeper in the world and with a new little baby demanding her attention, Brandi had even less time to devote to her household chores. While visiting, Kim got hungry and grabbed a plate of pancakes that were sitting on the counter. She took the plate over to the Broke's small dining table and sat down to eat. She took a big bite and swallowed before she realized they didn't taste quite right.

Urp!

When Kim woke up this morning her stomach hurt but she wanted to go to school anyway. It was cupcake decorating day in Home Ec and she didn't want to miss it. But, although she did her homework, took her morning bath and ate breakfast, by the time the bus pulled up to the curb Kim realized she still wasn't feeling well. She didn't care about cupcakes anymore. In fact, sll she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and wait to die. Surely she'd feel better then. Just then, sweat broke out on her forehead as her stomach roiled and a wave of nausea crashed over her. Bile burned the back of her throat.

Two Moons

November 11th, 2004

Two moons over Pirate's Cove.

This isn't a story, just a picture I snapped of something interesting. The other day I was fooling around with camera angles while Clint Eastwood was doing his early morning exercises. I moved the camera as low as I could then angled it up at the night sky. Not only did I see two moons hovering over Pirate's Cove, but I saw a number of shooting stars (or maybe they were alien spaceships entering the atmosphere). Anyway, I had no idea that the Sims lived in a world of two moons. Did you?

The Kelps Around Town

November 10th, 2004

Hoping to be elected to congress, Marina Kelp decided it was time to hit the campaign trail. Her campaign manager, Elle, suggested she get to know the people of Pirate's Cove better. Knowing that she wouldn't be able to meet everyone in town herself, Marina enlisted the help of Neptune, her loyal retainer/bodyguard.

Neptune visits the Pleasants.

Neptune headed out into the neighborhood after breakfast. Unfortunately, he had a hard time finding anyone at home (probably because, unlike him, they were all at work). After a long time of pounding the pavement and ringing countless doorbells, he finally came upon a family that was at home.

Kara's Sweet Sixteen

November 3rd, 2004

Andi gives Kara a birthday kiss.

It was to be her last day as a carefree child, but Kara couldn't wait until her birthday party that night after school. Andi was excited for her as well and, although she'd dearly miss her little girl, she was curious to see what kind of a young woman Kara would turn out to be.
