Why Food Poisoning Sucks

November 11th, 2004

Kim is still sick.

Kim took a quick bath and changed into her skirt. She was excited to help Dad make dinner. But, just as she entered the kitchen, the nausea that had stayed at bay most of the day decided to make a reappearance. She ran into her parents bathroom and threw up into their toilet. She must have been getting better though, because this time she only vomited once.

After rinsing out her mouth, she cleaned the toilet just like her mom had told her. And she fervently prayed that this would be the last time she'd have to do this. Cleaning the toilet was worse than throwing up…well, almost.

She heard a knock on the door and her dad's voice followed, "Are you doing okay in there?"

"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better actually. I think all the bad pancakes are gone now." She finished cleaning the toilet and walked over to the sink to wash her hands.

"Do you want to try eating dinner?"

Kim opened the bathroom door. "Sure. But no pancakes."

Kara buys new clothes with her money.

After trying on what seemed like a ton of clothes, Kara finally settled on a couple of outfits that she loved. Mom had been right. It was fun doing this by herself. She felt like an responsible and worldly—like an adult. She'd even stopped by the cosmetic counter and picked up some makeup to match her new outfits.

Alex is a fellow private school student.

Kara looked at her watch as she was walking out of the clothing store. It was time to go home if she wanted to be there by seven. She ran over to the phone and called the taxi service.

"We'll send a driver out right away."

While she waited, she spotted a student that went to the same private school as she did. "Alex!"

The boy turned around and waved then started over to her. "Hi, Kara."

They chatted about such exciting things as the weather and their homework until the taxi arrived. "I better get going. See you at school tomorrow, Alex."

Alexander Goth waved then headed into the clothing store.

Kara told the driver where to go then settled back into the chair. She felt kind of bad for Alex. He was really nice and cute but he was so intense about his school work and his future career that he scared off any potential girlfriends. If she hadn't promised little John that she'd wait for him, she might have considered flirting with Alex. There was just something sexy about a cute geek.

Woohoo! New outfit and new makeup!

As soon as she got home, Kara yelled a hurried greeting to her dad and sister then raced upstairs to try on her new clothes. She settled on wearing a red turtle neck and blue jumper. Then, taking this month's issue of Teen Magazine from the bookshelf by her bed, she went in the bathroom to try on her new makeup shades. Diligently following the application steps set forth in the magazine, she managed to apply the news colors to her face without any major mishap(besides the fact that she couldn't decide on which lipstick she liked the best and had to reapply about five times).

She really liked the results reflected back at her in the mirror. "Woohoo!"

Best friends and sisters.

After dinner, which Kim managed to keep down, the two sisters ran upstairs. Since Kim had been sick today, the planned redecorating of the playroom was put off until tomorrow. Andi had asked the girls to move the toys into the other room so that the workers could get started turning the playroom into Kim's new bedroom. But they got sidetracked when they sat down to put their dolls into a box. Instead, Kim started playing and enticed her sister into joining her.

"See, I told you I'd play with you," said Kara as she dressed her doll in a new outfit.

Kim smiled at her sister. "Yeah. So, what should we have our dolls do tonight?"

I know, when Kim was visiting at the Brokes and I saw her take a plate of the pancakes and I was yelling at her to "Stop!" lol I even had Brandi call her over so I could get to cancel the action. I thought I had caught her before she ate any pancakes but apparently I hadn't. 😳 I'm glad she's all better now.

i've had Sims eat bad food but not enough to make them throw up yet.

i'm glad Kim got better (even though she had to throw up a few times). Kara's a cutie!!! i'm sure she'll have lots of boys after her. 🙂

I hate it when sims eat rotten food at other people's homes. It happens far too often for my liking. At the moment I've got one an NPC ill, which sucks cause I can't play them to cure it.

NB: Never believe the thing in the corner about 'your sim is well' I had a sim die from a cold about 2 hours after it said she was well. And she was almost completly full in all needs.

Wow, that toilet (afterwards) looked really nasty. 😆 It looks like she is feeling better by the end though. I am glad. So far I have been rather lucky. None of my sims have been sick…other than pregnancy. Whew!

Poor Kim, I'm glad she's better now 😀 I want her to grow up and date that nice Beau lad. And Kara should try to get Alex, what if John grew up and went for another girl? I wouldn't risk it, Kara! 😉
