Prologue 02

"Do you want some company? I was going to go to the reception in your stead but I'd be just as glad to skip it as well."

"No. I need to be alone for awhile." I've got to face reality sometime…right? It might as well be now.

Hale pinned Tahlvin with his opalescent eyes that seemed to weigh Tahlvin's sincerity and state of mind before a reluctant sigh parted his lips. "Fine. But I'm coming by later to check on you. We can order in Chinese or something."

Tahlvin thought about arguing with his brother—he had meant what he said, he really didn't want any company—but seeing Hale's determined look Tahlvin decided it wasn't worth the effort. He was actually thankful that he would see his brother again tonight. Perhaps having another person in the house would help rid the place of lingering memories.

"If you wish, mush'al," he said.

"I do," said Hale as he pulled Tahlvin into his arms.

Tahlvin swallowed hard and blinked his eyes trying to stem the sudden tears that threatened to overflow as he stood wrapped in the comfort his brother's embrace.

"I'm so sorry, dor'ano," whispered Hale, his breath fanning Tahlvin's ear.

Then he pulled away—releasing Tahlvin as suddenly as he pulled him into his grasp—and quickly headed toward his car.

Tahlvin sighed and hugged his arms to his chest as he watched his brother depart then glanced once more at the marble tombstone that proclaimed his wife's short life. "Right," he said under his breath, "let's go then."

    Hi, Tiana! Thank you so much! I won't say too much as I don't want to spoil things for you, but I can tell you that Samantha, Tahlvin's wife who died, was about eight months along. So she was almost full term. As for Tahlvin's bloody hand: he cut it when he punched the tree in anger.

    Fan service or not, that shower scene was fantastic. I enjoyed it a lot.

    There is such anguish and loss here, such emotion that is tangible and evident. I find myself being constant drawn into the character's minds, their stories and their experiences. Heartbreaking and superbly written.

    Stunning…heartbreaking. The photo on the bedside table which shows her pregnant is so sad.

    I love the shots. Elegant, sensual, astonishing angles and clarity, and particularly adore the city shots. Fantastic!

    well, i'm one for the shower shots haha. i'm really loving Tahlvin and Hale are such unique creatures, wherever did you come up with such a great idea for characters? Btw, I love how you added sky/cloud details to almost every outdoor screen, it adds a lot of realism to your screens. great work. :up:
