Screen Test: The Monster

For a time, I considered replacing Edmond's signature long hair with short hair. I really love how it looks on him, especially since it shows his whole face:

But, as you can tell from his horrified look upon finding out that he might be stuck with short hair, that didn't go over very well. 😉

Instead, I reached a compromise, and some of his outfits (workout, athletic, and swimming) are now linked to a ponytail with shaved back. Yes, underneath Edmond's mane of long silky hair, he apparently shaves his head:

So, that's the Sims 3 version of Edmond le Strange. I've been having fun with him in the game so far. I made him insane so he's always doing crazy stuff.

 

Custom Content used for Edmond:

Slider Hack: I use Awesomemod with sliders increased by 3.

Face Defaults: Aikea_Guinea Default Replacement Skintones (under "Default Replacements"; in my game, I use all her faces, plus the anatomical female body)
Body Defaults: Tummy Za's Hairy Skin Replacement (first download—body only, I use Aikea's faces)
Eye Defaults: Miniie's Bright Eyes Colorblend Replacements
Facial Hair Defaults: Stubble Replacements by RoboKitty
Skintone Defaults: Skintone Replacements by Aikea_Guinea (replaces the three lightest colors of the "natural" tones to make them a little paler)

Clothes:
1. Slimmed Suspender Pants Mesh Replacement by Aikea_Guinea
2. Jacket/Vest/Shirt Combo from Sims 3 Store (or MATY, included in the first compiled update)

Hair:
1. Mock Hawk from Sims 3 Store (or MATY, included in the first compiled update)
2. -Spectre- PeggyG MHair010 Edit

    Ah jeeeeezusssss, he's so pretty. Like others have said– you have a real knack for sculpting beautiful sims. I love his nose especially. Gaaaah, Edmond, you handsome fox.

    If you have the time, would you consider posting a list of places you've gotten your CC for these guys from?

    Thank you, Adele! Strong male noses are love. And, I took your advice and added CC lists for both Emily and Edmond. I may have forgotten a few things, but I covered the majority, I think.

    Wowzer! He's absolutely gorgeous! :XO: His face has a lot of character – the short hair really shows that off, the thick brows and pointy-up nose and deepset eyes. So handsome! I especially love his 😈 face, lol!

    I also really like his clothes, especially the slight texture on his jacket. It's much more interesting than having just a plain or pinstriped design, I think. And the wool on his jumper. The design tool is really fantastic when used in an interesting way – definitely my favourite new game feature. I love how you've used it!

    And thanks for the CC lists, they're very useful indeed. 😀

    Thank you! Yes, that's why I like the short hair too. It seems a shame to cover up his face with the long hair.

    I'm a big fan of adding texture to all the clothes. Even if it's just a simple white shirt, I still like to give it some sort of texture. The design tool is really fun. I love being able to customize everything.

    I'm glad the CC lists helped. Thanks again to Adele for prodding me to do them (I was being lazy…haha).

    He looks fantastic Kara! It looks like he was not happy having the back of his neck exposed without all that long hair. Either way he turned out quite well! And his clothing choice was perfect.

    I've been noticing all the CC out there for sims3 and it does make it tempting, especially seeing what people have come up with in the way of sims.

    Yes, I'm amazed at all the CC that's out already. It seems to becoming out quite quickly actually. Thank goodness! I miss my Sims 2 CC.

    Yay! I can see his face! No ski mask to be seen! 😆 And that cc list is a help too, no cc seems to work in my game 😥 must be the folders… but I'd KILL to meet that sim… and he HAD to be pixilated 😮

    CC doesn't work for you? That sucks! Do you know why? Have you organized it into subfolders in the Mods/Packages folder? I did that once and my CC stopped working until I rewrote the Resource.cfg file to tell it to search in the subfolders as well.

    Kara, I was pretty sad because you changed to TS3 and I thought "no Edmond anymore" 😥 But girl, I almost screamed when I saw Edmond in his TS3 version on the frontpage.I didn't do it just because I remembered that everyone's sleeping here at home hehe 😛 But my goodness, he's still gorgeous, and no pudding face! He was my favorite character (he looks a bit like my boyfriend), and I'm more than happy seeing him in TS3. 😀

    And I'm curious about the traits you gave him. 🙂

    Thanks, Karen! I haven't completely switched to Sims 3, I'll still be doing "The Monster & the Maiden" in Sims 2. But, I was missing my characters and wanted to play with them in this game too. And, wow, you say your boyfriend resembles Edmond? Lucky you! :XO:

    Ahhh what a relief that you'll continue "The Monster & The Maiden"! 😀 I'm very curious to see what comes next! 🙂

    And hehe my boyfriend resembles Edmond a bit, the cheeks, the thick brows, the strong nose and the mouth.But my boyfriend's hair is wavy/curly (but long too) and he has brown eyes.And yes, I can say I'm very lucky :XO:

    And I can't wait to see your BJD Edmond! 😳

    I can't wait for my Edmond BJD to be completed either. I'm so excited! I hope the body will arrive soon. If you want a sneak peek at his face-up, you can see him at the artist's site. He's a Dollshe Saint. He's a bit more pretty than the Sims' versions, but it's kind of hard to get away from that in the doll world.

    Hell yeah!!! The long hair…you know long hair really is something you sort of miss if someone chops it off and there's the back of your neck and it is BARE. He looks fantastic! Great clothing choice too.

    If Gayl makes me go to TS3 I'll do it.

    Thank you! I thought the outfit was very much to Edmond's taste too. He's always been a classy yet slightly eccentric dresser.

    If you do get Sims 3, it doesn't have to be an exclusive switch. I still use Sims 2 as well. 🙂

    i loved what you did to his eyes. and i have to admit i'm a fan of the first two hair-dos (um, do men call it that?) – anything in between is not for me. but *pant pant* good work. ohhh those eyes. . .i immediately noticed how he looked at me.

    I know. His eyes are so intense. Can you imagine if he was real and he looked at you with those eyes? *faints*

    He's amazing! He resembles Peter Steele in his younger years… kinda freaked out by that because I'm sure it wasn't intentional. If you wanna check out pics of him do a search for a band called Type O Negative (if you don't already know who they are that is.) 😉

    Oh, wow, he sorta does! You know, I listened to Type O Negative back in my college days but was never a huge fan. However, I might have made more of an effort if I'd realized how hot Peter Steele was back then. haha
