An Aerial Tour of Pirate's Cove
October 20th, 2004
(Note: Thanks to Kathy for giving me the idea for this entry. :))
We here at the Pirate's Cove Town Crier would like to think that our town's recent population boom and influx in tourism are a result of our new name. But, it is probably also a result of recently being featured in a "Small Town, SimLand" report on SBN Weekend. It is definitely thanks to the kind producers at SBN that today we are able to bring you some exciting and beautiful aerial shots of Pirate's Cove.
Following are some close up shots of various sections around town. We've even indicated what family lives in which house. Not all houses are occupied as of yet, so please call "Avast, Matey" Real Estate at (123) 555-UBUY (ask for Jack Sparrow) if you are interested.

This shot features the home of the Strudels. It is also called The Ridgewood and overlooks the town from a wooded ridgeline (hence the name). To its right is the Rt. 66 bridge to Sim City as well as Larry's Market. To the left is a darling bungalow suitable for the up and coming artist.

Here we have the Haleblane farm on Woodland Drive. Directly to its left is Pirate's Cove Spa & Retreat. In the foreground are Threads Fashion Boutique and Pirate's Cove Rec Center (left to right respectively).

Across Main Street from Threads Fashion Boutique, we have the homes of Don Goth (recently divorced from Cassandra Goth) and the Caliente sisters. All the way to the right, and across the street from the Pirate's Cove Rec Center, is the new of the Chita family. You may have noticed the crashed UFO behind Don's house. Unfortunately, there were no aliens aboard.

Up on Sim Lane, there is the Pleasant family home. Directly to its left (and partly obscured by the Spicewood Estate [the yellow house]) is the newly christened Mortimer Goth Park named after a recently deceased town founder. Down the street on 4th Avenue is the Blaise-Garvin home also known as Autumn House.

This is the most populated section of town. The Silverclaws and Veladorns both have picturesque cottages on Main Street. The Feratu and Broke homes are located on 1st Avenue. And the Hillocks, home of John Hillock who named our town, live on Sim Lane.

Our last aerial shot brings us the home of Cassandra and Darren Goth on Goth Way. On 2nd Avenue, the Kelps have made a home at the Dolphin House.
We hope you've enjoyed the aerial tour of our town. If you're interested in learning more about Pirate's Cove please contact the Chamber of Commerce.

just looking at your screen shots again, what's that neat looking house next to The Kelps? (section F) it looks like it has a slanted red roof.

Kathy, the house right next door to the Kelps is from Tollis SimGedohns. It's on page 4 of the residential section. I really like the house…it has a very modern look to it.
