Rococo Suit

Do you remember the outfit that I mentioned I was working on a couple of posts ago? Well, I finally finished it! Actually the suit has been done for over a week now, but it took me awhile to put together the photoshoot. I had as much fun doing the shoot as I did making the outfit…perhaps more.

I've always been fascinated with the fashions that graced the courts of 18th century Europe (I love the costumes in such films as Amadeus and Dangerous Liaisons). As such, I decided to make a suit of clothes for your male sims who may live in that era. Of course fantasy, gothic, or even JRock sims would look equally good in the outfit.
The suit is constructed of crimson and ivory cloth and trimmed with gold embroidery and crimson piping. In an effort to make it more functional, I made a few accessories to go with it. For day, your sim may don a tricorne to run errands around town or oversee his estate. For times when full dress is required, such as formal court occassions or a ball, your sim may adorn his head with a stylish powdered wig.
I used a real feather for the texture of the gold feather that goes with the tricorne. In the download, you'll also be getting a copy of Rose's hair (the brown hair seen in the above picture) that I alpha-edited especially to be worn with this hat. Much thanks to Rose for allowing me to include it in the download.
Modelling the 18th century suit is Lord William Carfax. He is the first of my sims to be made available for download.
To further display your sim's wealth, I've included a set of rings decorated with gold, silver, diamonds and sapphire enamel.
I tried to be somewhat detailed in the construction of the suit and even included seaming.
Another picture featuring the wig. It's a little dark as it was shot at night in a candle lit room. If you look in the mirror to the right, you can see the queue of the wig.

Oh my, these look spectacular..and I don't ever…I mean EVER play Victorian era type style sim things. This tempts me though, it looks so good. Very talented you are. That model don't look too bad himself..but of course..I will have plenty of time to drool over him in the next post which I will be reading as soon as I finish this one..I'm an addict I tells ya. And what's this nonsense about a Lady Carfax? Who kinda looks like Brandee… oh wait..it is Brandee..hahaha..right. Ok so I'm gonna talk about the pictures now. The rooms are so lavishly decorated and I love the dresses that the lady have on..especially the gray dress on the first page..can't remember which picture and as you know..I'm way too lazy to actually look back and see which one it is to save you some time…I'm ashamed. Oh nevermind, its on the second page too. The second picture from the bottom has wonderful furniture and everything. But so does everything else. That gold chair just caught my eye. Anyway, thanks for the download, even thought I probably won't use it since I wouldn't know what to do with it, haha.

Brandee…er…I mean Lady Carfax's dress that you liked so much is from All About Style and can be found under Themes > 18th Century and is at the bottom of the page. The gold couch is from VitaSims2 and is located in the Objects > Donation Sets section. It is from the Amber Room collection.

I adore Lord Carfax's outfit!
But I have searhed long for the wid that Lady Carfax has, and when I found it, it was only red. I tried to recolor it by myself, but it didn't turn out so good… ❓
I was just wondering if you could share yours? I'm in desspred need of that wig 😀
