Behind-the-Scenes, Part 2

June 27th, 2008

This is Cakey Lee, Tahlvin's cat that he brought with him when he married Brandee and moved in.

(I got Cakey Lee from my simmer friend c_literati at TSR. You can download her there if you want.)

heehee Cakey's smooshed-in nose cracks me up. Oh, and that cat bed is where Cimmy sleeps.

Nathan cleans the cat bed while Tory gets the fun job of playing with the kitten.

Haha…I totally forgot to turn of the symbols above their heads.

Emily loves Cakey Lee too. Poor Cakey…it looks like her eyes are about ready to pop out of her head.

Emily's birthday has finally rolled around. The whole family has gathered…

…plus another guest! Jason may look like he wants to kill someone (and he probably does), but at least everyone is on speaking terms with each other. Brandee and Jason try really hard to be civil to each other for the boys' sake.

Emily looks at her dad with total adoration. How cool is he that he can blow out candles? 😉

Brandee almost looks like she's crying in this picture…or perhaps it's just me. Perhaps though she thinks her babies grow up too fast. The only baby left in the household is Cimmy the kitten but not for long.

I just think it's so cute that everyone is dancing. Pardon the UI in part of the picture. I totally forgot to hit "tab" before I took it.

Nathan and Emily became fast friends. I love her face here…

…and Nathan's is equally cute. He looks sooo serious. But I guess he has a reason, he has to be a responsible big brother now. 😉

omg, you put Cakey in your game!! that is so awesome! 😀 (even though I've taken a long break from simming myself, I'm still a fan of yours, Kara!) btw, more rl Cakey here if you want to see http://www.flickr.com/photos/-christing/
I'm just thrilled she's in your game and that you gave her to Tahlvin, one of the hottest sims ever! 😀 *fangirl squee* (lol)

😛 awww, i think these behind-the-Scenes are just tooo cute.
I love how they have jobs to do in a storyy, but then have a "home-life"
    to them too.

  3. taddykins says:

Nice Behind the Scenes!^^I love Cimmy's crazed run, my real life cat has this kind of strange but funny behavior! And I understand Emily…with such father, who wouldn't like to be Tahlvin's little girl? 😀

  4. Choco says:

I love these behind the scenes posts. But I'm hoping to see what happened to Tahlvin's marriage with Sam when the affair was discovered and Brandee was pregnant with his child. I'm going to assume that she didn't take it very well.

  5. Kara says:

c_literati: Yay! Hi, C! (err…that sounded funny. I totally didn't plan that pun. 😉 ) I didn't think you'd get to see these pictures of Cakey, but I'm really glad you did. More cat-centric pictures in the next installment. And thank you for the flickr link. I really enjoyed looking at all your cute cats. You have four? Brave woman! 😉

jacqueline: That's what I enjoy about the behind-the-scenes stuff too. 🙂

Taddykins: Aren't cats funny? My little Sora does that crazy run around the house at least once a day. She actually almost went through a window once…and we live three stories up. Eep! 😯

Choco: I actually won't be covering that in these pictures. Someday, I'd like to go back and write up a proper story for that event since it's so important. But, I think you're safe in assuming that Sam wasn't very happy. 😛

  6. Shera says:

Amazing, and so interesting.) I can't wait to see Emily as an adult. Will you show us her when it happen? And will you continue story about Tahlvin? And as always I hope that you understand me (

  7. Tanya says:

Hehehe, I love behind the scenes shots! Sim birthdays always make me laugh – the other sims' shocked look and jump in the air when someone grows up is priceless 😀

  8. Cadie says:

I love this behind the scenes stuff, its like reality tv but in sim world..and written…and not really 'real'…and the stuff is actually etertaining 😆 ! Brandee's house is different from the house in the Christmas eve story or was that just a holiday house. And oh geez Tahlvin's cat is creepy, the eyes especially give me the hebijibees (spelling??) can imagine it in the dark. Emily is so like me when I was younger, I was such a daddy's girl (once I remember following my dad to the loo 😳 ).

Keep doing what you do! 😀

  9. Lisa says:

I think it's funny that Tahlvin has tats on his hand & arms with black fingernails and in the middle of that is his wedding ring. 🙂

  10. Kara says:

Shera: Thank you! You will get to see Emily as an adult. No worries. 😉 And, yes, I will eventually finish Tahlvin's story…first I need to finish Edmond's story though (it's shorter…heh).

Tanya: haha I think so too! There's a future picture I'll be showing of Emily jumping around at her brothers' birthday. Really cute!

Cadie: Yay! I'm glad this behind-the-scenes look at my Sims is such a hit! I was so afraid everyone would be bored. And, yep, you're right, the Christmas Eve story house is their vacation home. It's actually bigger than their regular home. Property costs less where they vacation, I guess. 😉

I was a daddy's girl too! I remember going to the woods to help Dad cut trees (we were getting ready to make a flag pole out of birch) and I dressed myself in a white t-shirt and jeans, which was exactly what he was wearing. I think I was about five-years-old at the time. 😛

Lisa: I know! 😀 It seems a bit of a contradiction somehow.

  11. Shera says:

Kara, Emily will be a real princes or Qeen! 🙂

  12. Kara says:

heehee It's probably true. She's already Daddy's Little Princess. 😉

  13. Reyoko says:

Aw…! So this is how Emily's family became as it was.
I always wondered what was the connection between the family Jason and Brandee had in "Christmas Eve" and the family Tahlvin has with Brandee in "Monster and the Maiden". Now I know! hehe. 😀

I love the look on Nathan's face in the last few pics!
He is SO adorable as a kid and HOT as a kid.
Can I have him….? Please?! :XO:

  14. Kara says:

Thank you, Reyoko! Nathan is/was an adorable kid.

I'm not offering him for download, mostly because the skin that he's wearing is made up of a blend of other skins whose creators don't allow their textures to be used in other works. They can't do anything about it if I use them for my own personal work, but I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if I distributed the skins. And Nathan just doesn't look like Nathan with out his skin. I hope that makes sense. That's one of the reasons I don't offer my Sims for download.

  15. Reyoko says:

    Oh, don't worry, Kara.
I can't download him anyways even if you had him up, I don't have Sims2.
Actually, I do. But for some odd reason I can't use CCs. It's sad, really.

But you know, I'm getting more and more curious of what happens to both Nathan and Tory once they're older (as teen or adults I'm not entirely sure) I wanna do a fanfic on them but got no time (damn school work!). Sigh. Still, love them! :XO:
