Sims 3 Tales: Wishes, Part 02

The real reason Tobin had his own game system and TV in the bedroom was so he could avoid listening to his parents fighting. They seemed to be doing that a lot lately. His dad was spending more time at the gym and his mom was getting sick of it. But, ever since her promotion, the police department had been taking up more of her time lately too so she wasn't around as much as she used to be. Tobin had taken to spending a lot of time in his room with the volume on his TV turned up in an attempt to tune out their angry bickering.
On her behalf, Justine didn't really believe Marty's lame excuses about spending additional time at the gym. She had stopped by a couple times during her shifts when he was supposed to be working out, but he hadn't been there. She wondered if he had found another woman. If so, Justine swore to lock that tramp in jail so fast she wouldn't know what hit her.
It was late by the time Inara left Tobin's house. As she was getting on Tobin's bike, which he let her borrow, a glint caught her eye and she ran into the backyard to find a gem stone. She shoved into her pocket(!) and decided she would do a search for it on the internet when she got home.
After work, Ransom continued his mission to get to know the Clavell portion of his family. When he arrived at their house, Bessie was deep in conversation with her neighbor River McIrish, a cute, pixieish girl.
However, he caught a glimpse of his grandson Xander lounging on the porch.
A soft thud caused Ransom to look around and he saw River passed out on the grass.
Bessie: "She's dead tired. Poor dear. But no need to worry about her. She does this every once in a while, and she'll be fine shortly."
Ransom shrugged and introduced himself to his grandson. He'd seen stranger things that women passed out on the grass in Mission Bay. And River did recover quickly just as Bessie said she would.
To Ransom's disappointment, he and Xander didn't seem to hit it off right away. When Ransom invited him to his upcoming wedding, Xander called him a fool for chaining himself to one woman.
Ransom: "You do realize you're badmouthing your own boss, don't you? Don't make me sic Katriss on you, boy."
Ransom quickly salvaged their meeting with gossip of the most recent dead who had taken up residence in the cemetary. For some reason, this was extremely entertaining to the other man.
And, luckily, unlike his mother, Xander seemed receptive to Ransom's peculiar sense of humor.
All in all, Ransom was heartened at how well he got along with his grandson. He'd have to invite the boy over to hang out soon.

Lovely storyline yet again! It's nice that Marty's being responsible (although I'm partial to Ethyn…there's just something about him <3).
Seeing a grown man cry like that, I'm all o_O

There is something about that situaton that just doesn't seem realistic to me… if I had been Justine, Ethyn would be dog meat! And as for Marty… well, kets just say he'd have an… unfortunate… "accident".

I'm totally reading things out of order, but it suits my whacked-out way of doing things! Holy crap, that's the most rational conversation I've ever seen between the wife, the cheater, and the brazen hussy (or… whatever the male version of that is). For some reason, I envisioned the scene from Rocky Horror where everyone says each other names twenty million times, LOL!
Also? "I'll hook your gravestone up with some choice words." ROFL
