Nvr Say Nvr

August 18th, 2009

Emily decided she likes how Edmond makes mac 'n cheese better. She knows how to flatter a guy. πŸ˜‰

Yay! Campfire! Everybody loves campfires (and a shirtless Edmond, who decided to wear his bathing suit).

Roasting marshmallows is serious business.

Uh…oops! I love how Edmond and Ransom are all "whatever" while Emily flails around with her torch a la marshmallows.

I'm not even going to attempt a caption for this picture. Just let your pervy imagination run wild!

Okay, so I left this household alone for a couple of Sim days to play with Julian and Viktor. When I came back, I was looking through Emily's friends list to see if she had been sucking up to her boss at work (she needed to have a good relationship with her boss to get a promotion). Well, apparently she had! Too well as it turned out. She was married to him!

WTF?!

I was confused. He wasn't even living with her. So, I had her invite him over. Yep, married! 😑

Meet Lee Chung, Emily's boss and husband.

Well…at least he's handsome.

I put my foot down though. Even in a test house, I wasn't going to allow Emily to be with anyone but Edmond. So, I made her break up with Lee.

I did feel a little bad though. Poor Lee. I need to do something with him someday. I think he's really cute.

Emily wasn't done surprising me though. When I came back to the house a few days later, and checked her friend's list again, I discovered she had a son!

What?!

Yep, Lee and Emily worked fast, I guess. I never even noticed she was pregnant. Anyway, Emily had a son named Damien. He's living with his dad. So. Weird. I'll try to remember to get a picture of Damien.

While all the drama was going on, Edmond was visiting Julian. I got a pop-up message from Julian saying that it was late and that Edmond should probably leave. I assumed Edmond would come home on his own. But, he didn't. So, I checked to see what he was up to. Apparently, he decided to rummage through Julian's trash for no good reason. *facepalm* He didn't even find anything interesting, like a rubber ducky or bubble bath, just trash.

Back home again. This is the unedited version of the header. Do I really need an excuse to show a picture of Edmond?

Nothing that exciting (especially considering I still haven't redecorated the bedroom). I just thought it was funny Emily was thinking about llamas. Yeah, I'm easily amused.

And just in case you were curious, here's everyone's traits:

Edmond: Bookworm, Insane, Loner, Natural Cook, Perfectionist
Emily: Brave, Childish, Good, Hopeless Romantic, Light Sleeper
Ransom: Absent-Minded, Flirty, Hopeless Romantic, Loner, Workaholic

Hehe, this is good… very good…
Now they are both uncovered, what were you planning to do with the non-test lot?

haha Thanks! It's fun playing with them even without a story. Oh, and I have a couple more characters to uncoverÒ€”Viktor and Julian. After that though, I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with them once I move them into my non-test neighborhood. I'll probably just have to wait and see, like I did with Ethyn, Katriss and Ransom's story.

Holy moly, Edmond is one of the hottest sim out there <3 <3

Thank you! I love Edmond in any form, if you couldn't tell. πŸ™‚

I know this isn't anything more than just really great pictures, but in a way, it was like a little story. πŸ™‚ Plus, you make some fantastic looking sims! Edmund has pretty intense eyes, and Emily is beautiful.

Thanks so much! Yeah, it is sort of like a story. I'm actually going to have to force myself to leave the test neighborhood since I'm getting caught up in their little lives but I want them to be in a different neighborhood.

Yeah. Man, I wish I could do that πŸ˜₯ …. I'm no good at making male sims. I couldn't do it to save my life πŸ™ . Hopefully, I get a graphics card soon so I can enjoy this game too πŸ™‚ … Thanks Kara! Now I can carry on with my day in hot guy bliss :halo: !

It's funny…I actually have an easier time making male sims than female sims. I'm happy with how Emily turned out, but it took a lot more work for some reason.

I hope your computer is fixed soon! It's sucks not being able to play when you're in the mood to do so. *crosses fingers for you*

All right…things happening while I was elsewhere would really make me mad. Like married and pregnant without my say-so. I mean WTF??? πŸ˜•

On the other hand I loved that look Edmond gave her at the restaurant! Such an Aww moment! πŸ˜›

Totally! I would have been upset if it had happened in a non-test house. I had the house set to "sacred" (an option from Awesomemod) and I thought that was supposed to make everyone in the house immune to storymode's random crap. I guess I misunderstood and need to look into that more. Thus the reason for a test house! haha

I know…I got warm fuzzies when I saw Edmond so excited to see Emily. It was so sweet. If I were a sim, one of my traits would be "Hopeless Romantic".

awww…yeah Edmond is gorgeous! And he does seem to keep watching Emily, which is so sweet!

That would drive me insane – marriages and children just happening totally out of my control. That's too much like RL!

Question – it's still not possible to take shots inside a community lot, like the restaurant? Everybody eats outside; disappears into the 'office' (where obviously some real action is going on) and you can't follow them?

haha Yeah, it is more like RL in that way. It's kind of interesting to see what happens though. It's a lot easier if you just play one household. Nothing will happen without your consent then. And, as I mentioned there is a way to avoid the story progression even if you switch houses. Taken from the Awesomemod notes:

    "God's Chosen People
Control-Clicking a sim/house will offer the option to "Make Sacred" or
"Remove Sacred", giving that household or sim immunity to StoryProgression
and other assorted random toadings. The Chosen receive a gold halo on
their house and on their tracking tags when tracked on radar. You may
switch instantly between the Chosen household with CRTL-RClick if
the "Supreme Commander" playmode is enabled."

I wonder if why it didn't work with Emily is that I only made the house sacred and not each individual sim? More testing is required.

And, you're correct. Some community lots (for instance, the theatre, restaurants, businesses, etc.) are rabbit holes where the Sims disappear and you can't follow. The Bistro restaurant has the option for your sims to eat outside as well. If they eat or have drinks inside, they change into formal clothes before disappearing inside. For community lots such as parks, the gym, museum and library, you are able to follow your sims inside.

Okay, I think I am going to break down and get Awesomemod now. I just hope my computer doesn't explode! πŸ˜₯

I can't resist! If you know of any good places to get custom content, let me know! I'm on a downloading streak! :XO:

One thing to remember with Awesomemod is you need to keep a close eye on the download thread. Pescado, the creator, updates it almost everyday since officially it's still in beta testing mode.

As for sites to download from, well, I've linked to several in my "screen test" threads. Also, this site keeps pretty up-to-date on new downloads available for Sims 3.
