Girl Meets Boy
November 22nd, 2004
After seeing how much fun Jen was having with the Legacy Challenge, I just had to try my hand at it. For those of you who don't know, very quickly, the object of the game is to "make a family the 'strongest' it can be over ten generations." In this sense, "strongest" means having wealthy and happy Sims (i.e. have as many platinum-level aspirations as possible fulfilled throughout the generations).
I created a female knowledge Sim named "Katrina Keene." I can't remember her stats off the top of my head (and I'm too lazy to boot up my game, but if you want to know her exact stats let me know and I'll post them later). I do know she's a Virgo, and she's extremely neat and very serious as well. Knowledge Sims are my favorite because they are the easiest to keep happy. Just have them earn a skill point and one of their aspirations is fulfilled.

In accordance with the rules, I started Katrina out on an empty 5 x 5 lot (the largest lot available). That ate up a lot of Katrina's starting §20,000. As I remember, she had around §5,000 left to build a house and get some furniture. As you see in the above picture, I couldn't afford to panel the outside walls, nor could I carpet or paint the inside walls.
Two Moons
November 11th, 2004

This isn't a story, just a picture I snapped of something interesting. The other day I was fooling around with camera angles while Clint Eastwood was doing his early morning exercises. I moved the camera as low as I could then angled it up at the night sky. Not only did I see two moons hovering over Pirate's Cove, but I saw a number of shooting stars (or maybe they were alien spaceships entering the atmosphere). Anyway, I had no idea that the Sims lived in a world of two moons. Did you?
