Excuses, Excuses
August 10th, 2006
Psh! As if I could ever delete that man. Even if he didn't "exist" as a Sim he'd still haunt my thoughts. But don't tell him that! He's insufferable enough as it is.
Anyway, "Hi!" No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. Instead I've been in a frenzy working on all my projects and hopping around too much to finish any of them. I hate when I do that. I've been trying to prioritize but it hasn't helped.
I think part of my problem is I've been unhappy with chapter three of "Worlds Apart" so, even though I've wanted to finish it, I've kept putting it off to the side and working on other things. However, this morning I was struck (yes, my muse is of the rather violent variety) with a possible solution for fixing the chapter. Unfortunately for you, that means a rewrite and a new set which I have to decorate. So, once again the release of chapter three is pushed back.
But, all this time spent avoiding working on chapter three has not been fruitless. Indeed, I have a huge post that I'm in the process of getting ready for you. It's so big I'm considering splitting it into two parts. I can't say for sure when it'll be ready to go, but soon. (Can I be any more ambiguous?)
P.S. Do you ever look at a word so much that the spelling of that word starts to look wrong? I just had to look up "excuses" to make sure I spelled it right. I'd been looking at it so much while making the title graphic that I could have sworn I mispelled it. heh…Funny, that.

I laughed out loud at those pictures! You must have some really greedy kittens, Kara! 😉
But don't delete Tahlvin, I beg of you! He's too gorgeous for that to happen! 🙂
I'll keep on checking until Chapter 03 comes up; I hope its soon – I'm going to France in two weeks. 🙁 Anyway, I greatly anticipate it!

Amalimaball: hehe I'm glad you enjoyed the little comic. And, I do have greedy kittens. And they are so cute that they get away with almost anything. 😉
I can pretty much guarantee chapter three won't be up in two weeks. But I do hope you have fun in France! I'd love to go visit there someday.

LOL love the comic…I found your stories just recently while surfing the net and since then I've been hooked! Can't wait for the third chapter; my cousin and I have worked on a story but could never figure out the tricks to actually get the sims to act it out(like the emotion changer cheats…yea…we'd been doing that the hard way) so your site has kinda become our "how-to" guide! (don't worry, no copying though…we hate people who do that >.

I love it — seeing this made my evening, especially after that entire fiasco with my tantrumish compy. Tahlvin is always a welcome sight for my usually sore eyes — you can pass that info on to him too, though I hope he doesn't give you too much trouble for it. 😉
Anything you do is always worth the wait, so I'm looking forward to you updates, no matter when they get done! 😀
I know and empathize with the feelings you've written about — I also tend to run around doing a bit of this and a bit of that — things eventually get done, but not as efficiently as I'd hoped or liked.

Ohhh how I wish I wasn't eating Hot Cheetos when I read the first shot.
The laughter, the snorting, the jagged swords of season corn meal.
It burns a little.

*ahem* Seasoned is what I ment.
Seasoned with powdered lava apparently. Ow.

Hee. I liked that little comic, as well.
And, I know exactly what you mean about looking at a word so long that it looks like it's spelled incorrectly.
It happens to me all of the time. Especially when the word is lined up. Kind of like
Word
Word
Word
Or something like that. (If that's spamming, I apologize.) It just seems like "…isn't it spelled worrd?" XD Which is obviously not true, but you can't be sure until you check.
…but I digress. I know what you mean!

Kiwi: Thank you! I'm so glad my site has been of help to you and your cousin. I'll look forward to seeing your site someday. 🙂
Eph: hehe I knew you would empathize. Birds of a feather, eh? 😉 Oh, and when I passed your compliment on to Tahlvin, he got a little smile on his face. It got me all weak in the knees! 😉
Anissa: HAHA! How glad I am that I too wasn't eating Hot Cheetos when I read your comment! I hope there's no permenant damage or lasting scars…physical or otherwise. 😉 See…even just the mention of Chapter Three is dangerous to all involved.
Blu: Exactly! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one that happens to. And it happens more than I want to admit (although…didn't I just kinda admit it? o_O ).

*grins* Well, truth be told, seeing Tahlvin made me weak in the knees! Anywho, I was also going to mention how happy I was to see you wearing the shirt. 😉
August 15th, 2006 at 8:08 am
Eph: And I LOVE the shirt! While wearing it, I'm able to have all my favorite (sim) guys in the same picture. … Now I just need one of Kit. 😉

Haha, I like the excuse about the chapter eating the kittens and you having to put it to sleep because of it. I might use that excuse when I'm doing my homework..or should I say, not doing my homework. So anyway, I don't mind AT ALL that you have to rewrite. More time for me to mess around before the chapter comes out. I hate reading things last…makes me feel left out. 🙁 Like now, even though this isnt a story thing. But who cares, you are wonderful. Soo, um even though you didnt finish that 3rd chapter, you were doing something constructive, unlike somebody I know…myself.

Eva: hehe You always make me laugh. And, not to worry, you were doing something constructive…you were reading this post. 😉 haha

Oh Kara, don't worry about the updates. I'll keep checking back. You just post it when you are all done with it 🙂

e2b: I'm so glad you and the rest of the readers of this site understand. You are all awesome!

We all have those times when something gets delayed without us meaning to! This is one of the few stories that I read so I will patiently wait for the next chapter. 🙂
And yes, I've had that experience with looking at a word for so long, it looks wrong- it usually happens to me with very simple words like boat.
August 25th, 2006 at 9:40 am
Decorgal: hehe Yeah, it's the simple words that always start to look wrong. What's even worse is when you say a word so much that it start to sound wrong. I've had that happen with "milk." 😆

Cool story…but i can't find Chapter 01……
October 25th, 2006 at 2:36 am
Haha! That's funny about looking up the word because you looked at it too much. That happens with me when I say a word over and over and I think that it doesn't even seem like a real word! The pictures are great! I love them!
