Two Moons
November 11th, 2004
This isn't a story, just a picture I snapped of something interesting. The other day I was fooling around with camera angles while Clint Eastwood was doing his early morning exercises. I moved the camera as low as I could then angled it up at the night sky. Not only did I see two moons hovering over Pirate's Cove, but I saw a number of shooting stars (or maybe they were alien spaceships entering the atmosphere). Anyway, I had no idea that the Sims lived in a world of two moons. Did you?

I never thought to look at the night sky… how awesome!

😯 Whoa! That's so cool! Does this happen everytime you look at the sky or is this one of those glitches?

Wow! That is so cool…I think I've seen the shooting stars before but never two moons.

WOW that is too cool. I will have to have a peek next time I play. Do you have to have the game image quality at medium or high for this? I have mine set at medium I think.

Leslie: You know, I'm not sure. I keep forgetting to look at the night sky again, but it may be a glitch. I never thought of that. 😳 I hope not though. It would be cool if SimLand had 2 moons. 🙂 It was close to morning when I took this picture—around 5 o'clock, if I remember correctly.
Lani: I have my graphics quality set to high I think. Actually, I think it defaulted to high, I haven't changed my settings since I got the game (except for the settings I changed to take screenshots).

How do you fix the angle of the camera like that to see the sky:?:

that is really neat looking! i need to play with the camera angles some more. i keep forgetting what letter does what. there were so many times i missed a photo op because i was too far away or i couldn't remember that i could always hit C on the keyboard instead of clicking on the camera icon. it just takes coordination. i'm just too mesmerized by the Sims and what they do on their own to pay attention to anything else! great photo!

I didn't even know one moon would show up! Nice catch.

Very cool. I will look the next time I play. I haven't bothered to look at the sky much. Two moons would be a very interesting twist.

I checked this morning and I could only find one moon. Maybe all the neighborhoods are different.

Hey the two moons aren't a bug, I saw them in Pleasant Ville during the night while playing a family, pretty cool stuff . Hmmm I wonder if they appear in neighborhood mode too ❓ Also in another neighborhood of mine I saw two suns:!: Thought one sun kept disapearing everytime I moved the camera a certain way.:???: Interesting twists to the stories me thinks 😉 Keep writing when you have time
