Got Some New Digs…

May 7th, 2010

I just wanted to let you guys know that I have set-up a blog over on Livejournal. I've really been wanting to just chat about random things lately, but didn't want to clog up this site with off-topic drivel. So, if you'd like, please stop by and say "hi". :XO:

    Ooooh, Mass Effect… :P
Too bad my 360 went kaput.

 I hope you're able to get it fixed! It's really an awesome game and should be played if you have a chance. Did you ever play the first Mass Effect game?

  3. Stephanie says:

My brother did :?: . I was actually just a spectator for both.
But I honestly didn't want to play it, since watching it was already more entertaining than watching a movie :-) .

He played it 3 times, since he tried to find new ways of ending the game :?: .
Y'know: First time= Good guy 8) , Second Time= Bad Guy :vangry: , Third Time= All the other things he didn't do  .

It was great watching it. I was afraid it wouldn't be the same if I played it. Since I've never been a real "player" . The second one was really good, too :-) .

The first experience I had with Mass Effect, I was an observer too. When the first game came out for the PC, my husband played it. I watched and helped make the decisions as to what our Shepard would do. We really had a lot of fun.

Just this past Christmas, Steam had a special on the first game ($6 or something–it was a great deal), and I bought it to play on my own computer. I was nervous if I would be able to play it by myself, but I put it on "casual/easy-mode" so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed. As I got more comfortable, I increased the difficulty and ended up enjoying it even more when I got to play Shepard by myself. I felt like I had a deeper connection with the story and the characters.

I can no longer be an observer now. When the second game came out, we both got our own copies. haha

Oh, and I totally understand your brother playing it three times to see different endings. My first play-through of ME2 with my main Shepard (Kate Shepard), I made paragon decisions. My second time through with Viktor Shepard, which I'm currently on, I've tried to make renegade decisions, but I've ended up doing a mix (mostly paragon with a some renegade thrown in). I feel icky when I make Shepard be too much of an ass. ;)

    Hahaha! Right!:D
My brother always feels "Iffy" about being too much of a bad guy as well. He can't help but be the Hero:-) . Which sucks sometimes, since I really wanted to see how Sheppard's appearance was after a whole bunch of Renegade acts:P . (Glowing Scars and Reddish eyes:halo: )
The first one was amazing since it was so different from all of the other Sci-Fi games out there. Like Star Wars, FallOut, yadda, yadda, yadda. But the second one definately takes the cake in building up the storyline in my opinion:?: .
I mean, it has, like, Millions of lines of dialouge:? !

Seriously, whenever he would start playing, within an hour, everyone in my family would be huddled up in front of the TV watching it like it was a movie. A very, very long movie.

My grandpa watched it for a few hours thinking it was, actually:oops: .

I let one of my Shepards (my totally renegade one whose play-through I could never finish) go all glowy scars and creepy red eyes. I ended up buying the upgrade for the med-bay to heal her face. haha Maybe a guy would look better with the scars.

I totally agree with you that ME2 is an epic story. It really blew me away. I still enjoy the first game, but it's not nearly as epic in scale.

And, that's so funny that your grandpa thought he was watching a movie when he sat down to watch ME2. :)

  7. Stephanie says:

    Oh yeah! :-)
Then again, he doesn't even speak that much english, so movies in general are pretty foreign to him. He thought the same thing when he watched my uncle play Uncharted 2 :P .

Poor guy was so confused when they saved and quit  .

Anyway, uh, yeah. Mass Effect is freaking awesome :D !
    So many options.

And that's cool that you were able to get your Sheppard THAT Renegade 8O .
I never got the chance to see that. *envy, envy*

I know this entry is a bit old, but I just wanted to say I have enjoyed reading over you Sims 2 stories and looking over your photos. They are beautiful.
